Trust signals - what are they?
Trust signals are a new feature on Kaufmich that help you better assess potential clients before you write to them or arrange a date.
You can see at a glance:
- how active a client is,
whether there have been many reports about them or how often they’ve been added to escorts’ ignore lists,
how dates with this client have been rated by other escorts,
and which trust signals (e.g., phone verified, Plus member, etc.) they fulfill.
The goal is to give you more safety and transparency and to save you time when dealing with clients.
Who can see the trust signals?
- The new trust signals are only visible to escorts.
- Clients cannot see this area.
Where can I find the trust signals?
You can view the trust signals in several places:
In a client's profile
On the right side of the page, you’ll see a section titled “Trust signals” (in the mobile version, directly below the general client information).
Clicking on it opens an overview with information about the client and their trust signals.
In your inbox/messenger
In the inbox, click the icon to the right of the client’s name to see an overview.
When you open a message from a client, you can open the trust signals overview via an icon display. One click is enough.
There you’ll see the same information as in the profile: trust signals, activity check, and date reviews.
This way, you can check who you’re dealing with before you reply.
What do the ‘trust signals’ mean?
In the “Trust signals” section you’ll see icons at the top that show which of the 6 total trust signals a client already fulfils.
Blue icons = this trust signal is fulfilled
Purple icons = this trust signal is not fulfilled yet
Examples:
- Purple telephone symbol → client has not yet verified their telephone number.
- Purple diamond → the client is not a Plus member.
Next to this you’ll see a number such as “(4)” or “(5)” – this shows you how many of the 6 trust signals the client currently fulfills.
What’s in it for you?
You immediately see whether a client has already taken several steps to appear more trustworthy (e.g., verifications, Plus membership, etc.).
The more signals are fulfilled, the more indications you have for a positive assessment of the client.
What is the “Activity Pulse”?
Under “Activity Pulse” you can see how a client has behaved on Kaufmich so far.
You will find:
Total number of contacts
These are all chats the client has had since registering.
1 chat in the messenger = 1 contact.
Client’s report rate
Shows you how often, in relation to their contacts, the client has been reported.
Client’s ignore rate
Shows you how often, in relation to their contacts, the client has been ignored by escorts.
Additionally, there is an assessment in comparison to the Kaufmich average (e.g., “is above/below the average of the last few months”).
How does this help you?
Many contacts, hardly any reports & ignores → tends to indicate good experiences with this client.
High report or ignore rate → can be a warning sign; under these circumstances, be more cautious or decline the contact.
What’s important for you is:
The higher the report or ignore rate, the more escorts have apparently had negative experiences with this client.
Please also note:
The ignore rate shows how often a customer has been ignored by escorts in relation to their contacts. Reports from different escorts are only included in the report rate if support classifies them as a rule violation.
- Attention: Reports can be based on different reasons. Support therefore evaluates each case individually and determines whether there has actually been a violation of the rules.
If a report is confirmed by support as a rule violation, different measures will be taken depending on the severity. Currently, only warnings issued by support count toward the report rate. Bans and suspensions are not included in this overview. Any report that has not been explicitly classified as a warning is therefore not included in the report rate.
What are ‘date reviews'?
Under ‘date reviews’ you'll see:
a star rating, which is based on all date ratings other escorts have given this client,
a short summary of the content from these date ratings.
What’s the purpose of this?
You can see how other escorts experienced dates with this client.
A rather high star rating suggests good experiences.
- A rather low star rating can be a sign to be careful or to reject the client.
How do I use the new trust signals overview in everyday life?
Here are a few typical situations:
New message in your inbox
→ You open the trust signals overview directly in the messenger before replying.
→ You see: few reports, many contacts, good date ratings → you can reply more relaxed. You have a bad gut feeling about a client
→ You check the trust signals, the activity check and the experience reports in the profile.
→ High report or ignore rate and bad ratings? Then you can consciously decide not to reply or to be careful.Lots of inquiries, little time
→ With the help of the information you can decide faster which clients are more worth replying to, and you save time.
The trust signals overview does not replace your own gut feeling, but it gives you additional information so that you can make more conscious and safer decisions.
Is the displayed infos reliable?
Yes.
The numbers and ratings are based on the actual experiences of other escorts and on real usage data on Kaufmich.
- The data is updated regularly so that the information remains as helpful and up-to-date as possible for you.
Does this have anything to do with the trust level?
The trust level is a general indicator on Kaufmich.
The trust signals overview is a new, additional overview specifically about clients, which only you as an escort can see.
You can think of the trust signals overview as an additional tool that gives you more details and a quicker overview of a client.
