You can use the ignore function to specify who you want to be contacted by. People you add to your ignore list will no longer be able to contact you.
To add a user to your ignore list, first open their profile. There you will find three small dots at the top right next to the heart. If you click/tap on these, a small submenu will open, in which you can choose between “Report” and “Ignore”.
You can also ignore them directly via your messages. To do this, click/tap on the three small dots at the top right next to the heart symbol in the relevant conversation. Here you can also select “Ignore” from the submenu.
The system does not retroactively remove ignored profile visitors, but merely prevents the profile from being contacted in the future. Users who are subsequently or simultaneously placed on the ignore list are therefore not removed from the profile visitor list by the system.
ATTENTION - The ignore list is limited by the system, so an infinite number of users cannot be added. If you have already reached a total of 500 ignored persons, it would be advisable to remove some of these users from your list so that it is up-to-date and continues to work effectively for you.
Here are two examples:
- User A has ignored 320 users - these 320 are not displayed in the search and cannot make contact. User A can ignore up to 180 more users before the limit is reached.
- User B had already ignored 1,265 users before the limit was reached - the last 500 ignored users are completely hidden from the search. The other 765 are still visible in the search results, but cannot make contact.
In concrete terms, this means:
- The last 500 ignored users will be completely hidden from the search and will not be able to contact you.
- All other, older entries on your list will continue to see you in the search but will not be able to contact you.
